Having graduated 4 weeks ago, I have been running 30 minutes several times a week and travelling around 4K. My goal has always been to do the non-stop 5k but I knew I had developed some kind of mental block around pushing myself further. So yesterday was a run day and I was off work. I spent all day telling myself I was tired and shouldn’t run. Went to the dentist at 4pm and had a chat about my C25k journey. My dentist said he thought the programme was great and that running was very much a mental thing and 5k was achievable for me. Three hours later I was off and running, thinking about Mr Chung’s wise words whenever the gremlins appeared and yes I made it to my first 5k. It actually felt every bit as good as graduation day and has really spurred me on. 😁🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😁
