I’ve posted before about struggling with week 8, but I’ve had 2 weeks off so wanted to get the third run of week 3 done, though I expect to repeat this week to be honest - it’s a confidence thing.
Anyway, I was raring to go, almost excited (I’m not a natural runner tbh) but my body just wasn’t having any of it and my brain couldn’t compensate. Now, I do know where I went wrong, and it’s a stupid mistake: I had a bit of a busy day on Friday, I spent all Saturday wandering around the West End, then yesterday worked a lunchtime shift in a pub, so I guess my body is just a bit knackered, even though my joints feel ok. I know I can run for 28 mins, I’ve done it twice already, but today it wasn’t happening.
Now it’s all about licking my wounds, resting up and maybe I’ll try it again later in the week. But I’m not giving up! I am so close to graduating this programme and I really want to achieve this. Onwards!
