I graduated last week and am just waiting for my badge - so proud! Like lots of people on here, I realised that I wasn't quite running 5K so in my final week I made a point of doing that and it took me 38 minutes... I decided not to be disappointed about that but just use it to build on ☺. At the end of my first consolidation week I was climbing Ben Nevis so decided just to run once to save my legs (my knees have been a bit fragile?!!). I only managed around 15 minutes - rubbish. Hey ho...after my climb I'd be fine to get back to it...or so I thought?!!! If anyone has done The Ben you realise how amazing but challenging it is. My poor legs feel like they'll never be the same again and I really want to get my consolidation mojo going 😳. Do you know what though...I think it is all in the mind. I consider myself a runner now and the fact I WANT to get back to running still amazes me 😁. So off I go to look after my aching legs and hopefully run at some point later this week and if not, by next week. We need to give ourselves a break and think like runners now!! 💪👍❤

Sounds like your legs need a rest. Don’t be too hard on yourself as 15 minutes running is a run. Count it as a practise run and then move on. I think climbing up The Ben is enough of a challenge for one week so well done on that. Let your knees recover and then it’s onwards and upwards 👍👍👏👏
