I graduated about a month ago and have run(slowly) for 30 minutes 3 times a week since.
Although my speed has not changed significantly, I do feel my breathing and heart rate are improving. However, on the last 2 or 3 runs I have come close to stopping as my lower legs really hurt. I have managed to complete the runs but it is uncomfortable.
I have had problems with my calves before, so I have been taking care to warm up properly, do stretches afterwards and do calf and knee strengthening in between runs.
Does anybody have any advice on how I can stop the discomfort in my legs?
Many thanks.

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.
Hydration is crucial. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide to the plan.
If the above do not work you could try compression socks or a foam roller.
