So shin splints took me out for about 4 weeks. I went back in yesterday with wk3r1 and took it slowly. Posting today as wanted to review any pain after 24hrs and very pleased to say there is none.

I am going to start again from wk3r1, go slowly increasing my runs and really try and take it easy. Definitely rushing in wk5 ruined my legs so happy to take another couple of weeks to ease back into it and avoid leg pain.

This 9 week programme has taken about 14 weeks so far and I'm still only on week 3... I'll be honest it's a little defeating but I will finish eventually.

Don’t fret about how long it’s taking you. I’m just about to do week 8 run 3 and it’s probably taken me 14 weeks to get this far. Various set backs blah blah but I’m getting addicted that’s for sure. I need at least 2 or 3 clear rest days in between . Mentally this is fab for me. Good luck you will get there!
