Well this is another gem of a video I've come across. Ian Griffiths is 'Sports Podiatrist' @Sports_Pod on Twitter), and is highly recommended by sports physios and recognised as one of the UK's leaders in his field. I've just watched this Facebook video of his regarding a client referred to him presenting with shin splint symptoms.

If you've had shin splints at any time, this *might* be of interest to you. Fascinating!

Very interesting indeed. I wouldn’t have considered that for shin splints in a million years.

Indeed. Lends further evidence to observation that per unit distance, walking exerts a greater force than running, due mainly to a greater contact time with the ground.
