3rd time lucky!
So not done a run since Feb due to shin splints/hip again so now gained a stone and ready to challenge myself again I want to start couch to 5k again as loved how it made me feel mentally. Any exercises to do before and after?

Good luck! I love your determination, it will stand you in good stead. Feeling fitter is fab, and over time you will naturally, gradually lose the extra pounds. Take a look at the Strength &Flex forum. There is a library of exercises there. If you like yoga, Adriene has a runners warm up and a runners cool down routine too. A foam roller may be a handy tool to ease our tight muscles after running. Do you have good running trainers? Poor shoes can increase the risk of shin splints and I'm sure you don't want a recurrence.
