Pace question

Hello!

Just back from week 8 run 1, can’t believe I’m running for 28mins. I started this I was the unfittest I’ve ever been & am now feeling the difference.

My question is about pace, I’ve read about running at conversational pace however my last couple of runs I’ve been going a bit quicker than that & have completed them. I’m not panting and out of breath but I wouldn’t be able to have a full conversation.

Should I slow down again to conversation pace or as I’m completing the runs is ok to keep going a little faster? My splits today were all very even (one was a second slower & the others were exactly the same!) so it’s not like my pace was all over the place.

Any advice gratefully received!

Thank you, that’s very helpful.

I’ve not got the best injury history so I’ll be slowing back down to conversational pace!
