Hi - just a quick one, I do my run as part of a bigger walk/ route. I walk for about 2k, do the run then carry on home another 2-3k ish. Is it still worth doing the stretches when I get in or stop after the run and do them before carrying on?

PS week 8 run 1 done tonight, 4.10k, absolutely elated!

I'm no expert but from all of the articles I've read over the years it seems stretching is something alot of people skip over. Try it without if you feel okay great if you need loosening up stretch it out

If you are walking briskly then it can probably wait until you finish walking. Otherwise, it might be better to do them straight after your run.

After my runs in the morning I sometimes need to walk the dog before I get the chance to stretch. I just do them once I get home again. I noticed a difference in pain and injuries by stretching so I always include it even if it's late.
