Today I did my 2nd post graduation run. I was really excited about it last night and decided on a nike run app 25 minuter to which I would add at least 5 minutes. I fully expected to breeze round for at least 30 minutes smiling.....
I felt a bit dizzy before going out this morning ( the muggy heat drops my BP very low) but went anyway. That was a stupid decision. It felt hard from the start and never got better. I then tripped over the dog, got stung by nettles, got very annoyed that my off road route is now so overgrown I soon won’t be able to do it, and found the ‘heavy’ air was making it tricky to get enough air in my lungs😂. Luckily however the nike run coach kept chatting away in an upbeat manner and I did complete 26 minutes before stopping.
So what have I learnt? Don’t go running when you feel dizzy. Don’t stress about not doing the full distance and thinking it’s a ‘fail’. Know that not every run will be a great run. Do celebrate the fact that I went and can add one more run to my collection. And look forward to the next one!!!

You’re so right AlysP. Chalk it up to experience. There’s no failure- after all we can do what we like in consolidation and it’s all, well, consolidating 😜
As I’m going to be running later( which I hate )instead of my usual early time I’m thinking about taking it easy and doing 20 mins- and if I feel like doing more I can! It’s actually raining here so that will be a new experience as it’s not rained on any of my runs so far. Or I might just wait till tomorrow morning. The world is my oyster! But as I’ve seen another post about it being world running day I feel I should make the effort!
ooooh world Running Day!! Before C25K I would have taken zero interest but now I can say I ran on WRD!! Good luck with your run - I would love it to rain here in Suffolk!!
