Thank you all for your helpful comments on my last post about blisters. I am pleased to report I went out this morning for my W7 R3 run and managed to be blister pain free!
I had blister plasters on and also two pairs of socks which seems to really help. I have ordered some hilly socks too to try those out.
I am also pleased to report I ran my first ever 5km!! I know you are not supposed to go over what the programme says but as I have done the programme before I wanted to keep going. At 25 mins I had done 4km (just recorded the running) and then walked for one minute and thought I felt good and would push for the final 1km. This was my first ever 5km (the most I reached last time round was 4.8km - so close!)
Really pleased and clearly that little rest gave me a new lease of energy π
