running diaries part 2.

Afternoon all, I posted my first post just over a week go, was blunt and honest that I was really nervous to do my first run, have been a long time lurker in the group with little self esteem to get my butt out the door and take the first tentative steps towards w1 r1.

I last posted that I wanted do c25k not only for myself but because I have to run a fitness test each year for my job and it brings me quite some anxiety just to think about it let alone run it.

So I vowed to begin my c25k journey in order to get myself ready physically and mentally. I've still found excuses not too but have been cycling indoors for 30 min without stopping. This I felt has helped to improve my mental state that if I can cycle for 30 min without stopping despite my legs feeling tired, that I can do this.

well I failed the fitness test this morning yet again, i'm on my last try now before its taken to the next state. but I vowed on my journey the whole way home that this is it... I have to get out and start this programme.

so tomorrow will be my w1 r1. im very nervous but a little excited to.

I struggled on week 1 to complete 60 seconds and I am just back from week 4 run 1 without stopping!! I am listening to podcasts which definitely help me as it takes my mind off what I am doing. You can do it!!

A lurker here as well. I wanted to my first post to be my graduation but I did that on Sunday had a rubbish run so I’m not counting it. Wk 1 run 1 I thought I was going to be sick, it was that hard and now I’ve postponed graduation because i wasn’t happy with my 30 mins! Stick with it, things change quickly. Good luck
