Hi, I haven’t run for 18 months but now I feel ready to get back into it again. Do you think I should just go from where I left off?

Congratulations on getting back to running, I think you should do the whole of C25K again, good luck.

If you haven't run for 18 months then you will have precious little residual fitness and resistance to injury.

I am part way through the plan again, having not run for nearly a year, and I started from W1R1 to build up my body strength and stamina. I could very easily have missed some of the early weeks but preferred to be cautious, not wanting to get injured again and have to miss another long spell of running.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.

I would recommend that you start C25k again in its totality.

The guide to the plan may have some pointers for you healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Better start from the beginning again but you know what to expect this time round

I’ve not run for about 6 months and I’ve started C25k again this week from the beginning

I was off for 2/3 months and had to restart at 18minutes run time. Did the rebuild slower by just increasing by 10% a week but am now up to 34mins, sort of equal to Wk1 of the Magic Plan). So I'd restart after an 18month layoff.
