W5R3 ... thrilled!

Hello all - so glad and proud to be posting that I have completed Wk5R3. Challenging times for us all and I have never felt more grateful for C25k and this community. Feeling so frightened and sad here in South Africa for what is to come - most South Africans don’t have running water, never mind facilities for sheltering, isolating, avoiding public transport. Poverty and malnutrition levels are already so high - hard to see the effects of this unfolding in slow motion. The bright spot is thar our government has offered decisive and effective leadership, but they are up against such huge challenges. Anyway, sorry, my point is that C25k is huge for me right now - I greatly look forward to the head-clearing runs and feel so grateful and frankly amazed that I’ve been able to stick with the programme. Thanks to the moderators and you all for this inspiring community.

Great job on that run. That’s a run that shows you that you can do this more than any of the others.

When I think “South Africa” I think “Cape Town and gold” I forget that most of the country is so very different. Hopefully the government there can overcome these challenges.

Slow and steady into week 6 and you got this. Stay safe, fit and healthy.

That's fantastic! Go you! 👊

I almost feel I started c25k last September in preparation for this ordeal. Running certainly does help.

Best wishes

I hadn’t thought of it that way but you’re right! Thank goodness we have this. Thanks for the encouragement!
