Jogging great gran.

I am a female ages 73 with atrial fibrillation. I used to run up to 40 miles a week but 6 years ago I had a cardiac incident while doing a 10k run and since then I am very short of breath. I had an angiogram after that incident and was told that the anterior cardiac artery is 60% blocked but because I wasn't having any chest pain Drs decided not to give me a stent. At the moment I can barely jog 100 meters without getting short of breath. What I want to know has anyone else with similar problems had a stent put in and has it improved your running? I would love to do a 10k run again.

Just seen this one lenthall - I really think you need to speak to your doctor or consultant before you embark on C25K. While it starts off with 60 second runs, the aim is to run non stop for 30 minutes and it doesn’t sound as if you’re ready for that just yet. But if the doc says go for it, then C25K will get you to 10K evwntually I’m sure!
