Well I set off this morning ( on my C25kTake 3 ) and I intended to do wk3 run3..... but then changed my mind partway through my Warmup walk and quickly switched Podcasts to Wk4run1.
I WAS a bit wary as 5 mins seems a long time when you are rehabilitating but I felt good and I have been doing lots of strength and flexibility exercises at Pilates so I thought I’d just go for it.
The first 3 mins trot went well and then I had 90 secs walk to recover and then all too soon the first 5 mins run, which again went strangely easily. Then the walk and then next 3 and then .....suddenly it was all over and done and I hardly noticed the last 5 mins run. Surprisingly I felt really good!! I was a bit worried, after not running for just over 3 months, how easily it seems to be coming back. I’m am going to have to rein myself in though or I’m worried I’ll pick up another injury.
My next run is Monday and my daughter is supposed to be coming with me after work. She hasn’t run for a year, except for 20 mins in my treadmill on Friday evening, so hopefully she won’t be pushing me as she used to.
