A bit annoyed with myself, had a bit of a niggly knee last week or so (I often do) so taped it up last few runs and it was okay. I only managed 1 and a half of the runs tonight and had to walk the rest of the way home as it hurt too much!! I thought I wad on to a good thing but looks like I need some time off and to start again another time!!! 😟

Before you decide to stop, have you tried Japanese Slow Running? It is less impact and has all the health benefits of running?

It could serve as a way of strengthening your knee so you can add pace into your runs at a later date?

Take a look: youtube.com/watch?v=9L2b2kh...

Don't damage the knees...just not worth it. Walk when you feel better and try increase distance and speed in walking. It would be awful if you reduce your mobility by running too much. Also, maybe look as jogging on softer surfaces and checking your trainers are giving you the right support. Take care. 😎

The Japanese Slow running technique is basically what is outlined in the guide to the plan on minimising impact.

There are also links in the guide to knee strengthening exercises which will help considerably.

Resting up is definitely wise.
