W8 - how to cope with pain?

Hello, guys,

I managed to get to W8 and the progress I made really helped me gain some confidence in myself; back in November I even ran a 5K, even if I wasn't necessarily there with this program. I did this with my husband, as a test, and I was really happy I made it. But then I decided to continue with the Couch to 5K program, and for the last 3 runs I was constantly experiencing pain on both sides of my stomach (especially the left one) and I am really struggling to finish my 28 minutes of running sessions because of them. I don't run fast, I pace myself, what can I do to avoid these pains?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

We always recommend that if you have persistent pain that you consult a medical professional.

Is it a stitch?

In which case, slowing down and making sure that you are breathing fully and deeply can help. Also make sure that you are drinking at least 2-3 litres of fluid each and every day, as recommended in the guide to the plan.

Thank you for your suggestion, I am thinking about going to see a doctor about this. It is not a stitch, it's a pain which lasts for a few minutes, even if I slow down and breath consciously. The water part needs more attention from my side. Thanks again
