Finally back on track

After having several weeks off due to SI joint pain, holiday and then a very persistent lurgy I decided to restart at week 3 having previously completed week 5. I got back to W5R2 when I started to get foot pain. I think I tend to transition into a run with too much bounce and enthusiasm! So I took 4 days rest to let it settle and felt (just about) ready to tackle W5R3 today. I practised transitioning very gently into a slow run during the warm up to check I could manage and then completed a super slow 20 minute run almost exactly 2 months since I last did it. Foot no worse for it and hopefully back on track to start W6R1 after a couple more rest days.

So glad that your foot is no worse after your excellent 20 minutes run of week 5, as you know that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran. 😊 🏃🏾
