Unreasonably pleased with myself

In theory, I do a dance-based class, a yoga class, 3 runs and 2 gym sessions every week. I'm pretty unfit and am not by any means hammering it, but I turn up and I try. I have a job and three kids who are too young to leave, so I'd like to combine sessions for time's sake, but I also get panic attacks from exercise and was afraid of doing a run in the gym and then working out. Anyway, today I ran 5 minutes in the gym before my normal workout, didn't die and did finish my workout. I'm heading to the end of week 6, so 5 minutes isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it feels like a great start!

It’s sounds like you’re doing really good Hamsterfan. Don’t be so so hard on your self. You have a very busy life with the sounds of it. Well done

You are doing well on the excersise front, yoga, gym sessions, now running, once you have completed week 6 of C25K, you are OFFICIALLY a runner.

Well done, but please don't do any more impact exercise than C25k provides.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits. .
