Wow, Wow, Wow!! So the official times have not been published yet, but my watch behaved itself at the start line this time (hurray) and according to the Garmin I ran 5k in exactly 30 minutes ๐ฅณ A new PB for me! I thought I may shave a couple of seconds, maybe even a minute off, but Iโm honestly so proud of myself; I managed to shave nearly 3 minutes off!!
Hubby very kindly took the kids to their various activities this morning and it worked well, so Iโve decided that Iโm going to try and do a parkrun on the first Saturday of every month.
For those of you that have just graduated or are near graduation, I graduated just under 2 months ago and this is the first time Iโve run 5k in 30 minutes. So YOU CAN do it! Believe in yourself! Just keep working at it, pushing yourself little by little, step by step and you WILL get there eventually too. Maybe even before you expect it ๐
Wow! 3 mins off your PB that's great, well done you! Maybe all that Christmas food does us some good after all? I've just done a PB at Parkrun but like you I'm waiting for the email to make it official. ๐
Good for you, well done. I've only ever run on my own and although I'm gradually bringing my time down, I can't help thinking I might do better if I was a bit more sociable. ๐ค
Glad your Garmin time was accurate, 3 mins off is brilliant, doesn't matter how long it takes you to beat it, that's the whole years worth of PB improvements in one go!
