After a few weeks off my bad (which was the good) ankle, went back to W8R3 and just fell short 22’30 i managed before the twinges started so i slowed to a brisk walk for the last part! Still managed 3.6k in that time so im chuffed with that! I will persevere again on the next run and see if i make it then! Was doing really well till i boshed my ankle at work annoyingly not an exercise related injury!

That’s a great comeback run after some time out with an ankle injury. Good call to stop the run when the twinges started... hopefully they’ll settle down nicely for the next run. Maybe don’t even try 28 minutes next time, go short and have fun. While it wasn’t the fitness that stopped you on this run, you have probably lost a little and if so you could benefit from not just hitting 28s every run.
Put another 2mins on today! Ran with no coach found that much easier! Was aiming for the 4k but again the thought of having to take time off work injured stopped me! So I’ll settle for a smashing 3.86k well over 5k by the time I’ve walked home 😂😂
