This is my first post, although Ive been enjoying reading and getting support and motivation from other people’s posts for a few weeks now. Thank you everyone!

I just ran w9r1 and really enjoyed it. Who’d have thought? I’m 62 years old and 2 stone overweight with dodgy knees and I hadn’t run for 30 years...

I’ve been following the sage advice to listen to my body and run at my own (slow, but improving, pace. The one time I didn’t do this, in about week 6 I think, I ended up having to take 10 days off resting due to runner’s knee, and then repeated a few runs before progressing.

Can’t believe I’m nearly there. Two runs to go before graduation!
