Issues at 15 minutes

I know the toxic 10 is popular but I seem to have developed an issue with 15 minutes. The gremlins come out in full force I do manage to work through it and once I get to 17/18 minutes I’m fine 🙂( home straight I guess and keep going all the way to 35/40minutes. Just wondering if anyone else has a particular time or distance they have issues with?

I was on a guided run recently (think it was a 5k) and the coach said at the halfway that it’s common for a runner to turn off in the third quarter of a run... while that isn’t perfect timing for your 35-40, it is for your previous training, so maybe it’s a remnant of that? I often get the gremlins about 3/4 through a run telling me I’ve done the exercise I need and I could just stop... and it doesn’t seem to matter the length of the run.

On the 10k guided run it got me to back off a little just after my gremlins time, think it was at 8k when I got taken from 5/10 effort to 4 and then 3 before returning... I’m starting to use this when I know the 3/4 mark is coming... when the gremlins start I go back to 5, and then if they don’t shut up I go to 6.
