Cramp in calf muscle. Hydration issue??

I went for a run last night. W5R2, I felt fine after the 5 minute warm-up. As soon as I started to run, my left calf muscle went really tight for a few seconds. I managed to keep going, but was a bit uncomfortable. Is this purely down to hydration, or could it be something else?? Thanks in advance. Lee.

Muscles not warmed up enough..landing awkwardly..could be any number of reasons...has this happened previously?

Thanks. No first time. I was a bit dehydrated, so imagine that was the issue!?
