I am running my first 5K in the second week of September 2019 and wanted to know the best way to prepare for it over the next 3 months.

How many times a week should I be running and for how long ? Also, for those who have done the Coach to 5K programme I would love some reviews and advice on it before I start.

For some context: I'm a 20 something year old whose health is pretty good. I haven't ran for well over a year though, most of my exercise has been walking long distances and cycling a few times a month. I plan on running outside in my neighbourhood parks to practice for the 5K.

I look forward to receiving some advice! :)

I can't advise you really since I have only just started. But the app is certainly helping to motivate me to go out. At least you have a goal 😁

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here. Just follow each run go slow and always have a rest day between runs . Good luck 😊

The C25K plan takes about 9 weeks to complete so you will have plenty of time. I’m sure you will have no problem moving through it as you have a base fitness and youth on your side. If you find the first week or two to be too easy just move up to the next level. The C25K plan is great and works. Good luck.
