This morning has been a morning of mistakes:
1. I forgot my water bottle when heading for the treadmill
2. Had issues with my Bluetooth headset, we have some friends of my youngest daughter staying so I didn't want to wake anyone by just playing the podcast out of my phone so I got out my trusty Bluetooth headset. While the podcast played no sound was coming out of the headset, sorted it out but missed the first minute or so (I was already on my warm-up walk.
3. It was hot in the conservatory, I'd forgot to open at least one door, there is one at the side of the treadmill so I opened that while running.
4. Note to self - never indulge in Chinese food the night before a run, it was laying heavy in my stomach.
5. Possibly the worse (best) one, depending on how you look at it, as I was plodding along Laura came on and informed me I'd done 14 minutes and I was halfway through! I must have hit week 8 instead of 7, I did intend to stop at 25 minutes but was enjoying the run so much I completed the 28 minutes and had to force myself to stop.
The way I felt at the end of the 28 minutes was one where I could have continued for the extra 2 minutes and did my first 30 minute run in just over a year!!! Boy, have I missed that feeling.
So that's week 8 run 1 done at the same pace as week 6 run 3 and that gives me a moral dilemma, do I scoot back to week 7 or, given the fact that I completed run 1 of week 8, do I continue with week 8, answers on a post card please.
Happy running everyone.
