Hi guys. I did w1r3 last night and only just made it to half way. My shins was really hurting, to much to run through. I don't no if it's because I've over done it this week with running and swimming everyday. ( alternative) I'm going to take the weekend off for abit if rest, although I'll be walking a lot all weekend. And hoping for them to be better on Monday to try again, or even Sunday night. Did any one else have this issue when they first started out

Shins!!!
As the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... points out, most new runner's aches and pains are caused primarily by the impact of running, so do all you can to minimise it.
Slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.
This may help runnersworld.com/shin-splints/
Reduce the impact!!!
I used to suffer from painful tendons in my ankles, found the trainers I was running at that time, while comfortable to walk in were no good for running in.
Go to a reputable running shop and see about gait analysis.
I went to a running shop last year for a try on the machine, they wanted to charge me £25 for it. I'll go over to sports direct as I think they have the machines in there.
Noooo! Don't do that, go to a reputable running shop, these are normally staffed by runners who know a lot more than the staff at that place you mentioned (I've seen the treadmills in their Shirebrook head-office/shop).
If you live near there then there is an excellent running shop in Matlock called Run Forest, plenty on here have used them and would recommend them. Mike who owns the shop is an avid runner and he doesn't look down his nose at anyone, he's a brilliant guy.
If you buy shoes from them then the gait analysis is free I believe, you can book a session in advance or take a chance and drop into the shop.
