Dammit! This running lark has robbed me of a well-deserved lie in on a Saturday morning, and here am I just having got back from Week 6 Run 1! What the heck is the matter with me? Just couldn't resist it! To be fair it was sunny - if it'd been raining it might have been a different story.
Guilty confession - if I'm not going to be home by the end of the 5 minute cool down I break into a run before the end. Usually a final run of 2 minutes and a bit faster as I know there is very little left to do. Then maybe do a few stretches as the end.
I guess when I graduate to Parkruns I'll get a bit more of a lie in as they don't start till 9am and only a 5 minute drive to my local.

I'm not quite at the point of missing lie-ins yet - I think I'm better later in the day, though this morning I was out by 9am, so maybe it's another psychological thing: I need to practise getting up earlier and running earlier in the day, as well as practising running.
I do the same little extra run (though probably not 2 minutes). I know where the "5 minutes walk til home" point is, so I will run a bit more to get to get there rather than walk for 7, 8 or more minutes. Today I tried to run as fast as I could (which is pretty slow) to the next lamppost, then walk to the following, then run as fast as I could to the next one. I found wk 6/1 harder than week 5/3 (just did it this morning) - which seems quite strange.
