W9r1 calf casualty

Completed w8r3 and felt a slight pull in my calf so gave myself an extra day and did lots of stretching before trying w9r1. It's a gorgeous morning and I'm feeling good until 10 minutes into the run when I put my foot down and my heel dropped into a slight dip. Ouch! Had to stop running and hobble home.

My calf is ok when I'm still but uncomfortable when I walk and I think running is a deffinate no.

Any suggestions on the best treatment?

How long can I wait to do my next run without loosing my fitness?

2 weeks before fitness is lost and no running at all until that calf is completely healed..a micro tear in mine, after being diagnosed by my Sports Physio..took a while..check this out..and maybe get ann appt with yr sports physio..it is worth it.

The trouble is, if there is a tear..we rest and do everything right..but when we head out ..it opens again..
