I did W8R1 this morning... Week 8... Good lord!!! 28 minutes run and I could've done more which is amazing!

I'm still struggling a bit in the middle (8 to 18 minutes) but slowed right down and chat to myself - 'it won't last for long...' 'you can do this'.... 'look at those curtains'.... 'I wish I hadn' t worn these pants, which ones are they? '... Anything to distract myself until I'm comfortable again... If you're just starting out and struggling, keep going, I couldn't do a whole minute in the first run, I don't know how it works but it really does!

Oh My God.this is awesome. I think all of us have the same inhibitions when we start running

.I think i needed to read this today. Today was week 6, day 2 for me and initially my mind was complaining so much you cannot do 10 min running without stopping...but honestly, once i put one foot in front of the other, it was done before i even realized it...at the second 10 min, i wanted another 10 min...isn't that so weird? the first few min when i start running are the hardest

You have discovered he secret of distraction......well done.

All runners have to do it..........think about anything but the physical effort of running.
