Im 10st 4 want to lose at least 1st or 1st 1/2 before my big day october 2020 ....so hoping this couch to 5Km helps hugely as i want to be ableto fit into a dress without any struggles that i have currently!! Any beginners advice from anyone?

As well as doing C25K, you can go on a healthy diet, your weight isn't too much, but you can reduce it by exercise and runs, good luck for your wedding next year.
That's a very achievable goal.
Running won't lead to weight loss on it's own ( maybe when you get to the longer runs)
You will however feel great, your shape will change as you tone up.
Whatever ever your reason this is an excellent decision.
Drink plenty especially the day before you run.
Take your rest days

Look at how much you want to lose. Divide this by the number of weeks you have and then you know how much you need to lose each week. Lose about 2 pounds per week and you should be fine. I have helped people lose weight from since 2005. Stay focused, you will have good days and bad days. Weight yourself only once per week, at the same time say morning at 8.am. Your weight changes throughout the day, it is just water. Do not weight yourself. Look at your clothes and feel how well they fit.
