Shin splints

So I was doing really well. I started week two and got shin splints but this was last week and when I walk my left leg still hurts!!!!

I was thinking of getting back into the c25k when I feel better. Maybe be doing just week one over and over until my legs can handle it. I never thought I’d be too fat too run!!! The sad thing is i found week two actually ok and did it. The pain is unreal though. What if am just not meant to run!?

Most new runner's aches and pains are caused primarily by the impact of running. Proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop are designed to minimise the impact, never try and run through pain. See the link for essential reading..
