RHYTHMIC BREATHING!!! Breathe in and out in time to the rhythm of your feet. It's a bit like dancing - except when dancing you step to the rhythm of the beat of the music. try 3 steps breathing in and 3 steps breathing out - or 4/4 or 2/2 or 3/2 or 2/3. It will take you a bit of practice but like hitting a golf ball, once you have mastered it, it then becomes automatic every time you run. There are LOTS of Youtube videos

Ignore all advice about breathing.

Your body knows how to breathe, it has had a lot of practice.

Do you have to think about breathing when you are walking? I thought not. So just run slowly: find the post for Japanese Slow Running from DiscoRunner and breathing will come naturally.
