First consolidation week completed post C25K

This evening I completed my third 30 minute consolidation run since graduating from C25K. I found my first run on Sunday quite difficult but I don't know if this was more psychological because I think I was expecting it to be slightly easier having completed the first three 30 minute runs the week before. I also felt like I had a full bladder part way round which was extremely distracting! Once this run had finished I had a bit of lower back pain so on my list of things to do now is some core exercises to try and nip this in the bud. The second run on Tuesday went a bit better mentally at least, and I managed to travel an extra 0.1 miles in the 30 minutes which I was really pleased with. However, towards the end of this run in addition to my usual stitch pain I also had some other cramps but on the left side of my abdomen which slowed me down further to take deeper breaths. The run tonight felt a bit easier than the other two, still tough going but overall my breathing whilst running is getting a bit easier and more co-ordinated and generally my stitch pain lessening slightly so hopefully this is progress and I can move on to the couch to 5k+ podcasts soon!

Good work so far in consolidation... if it’s getting a little easier then those C25K+ podcasts aren’t too far away. Congrats on the distance PB too. Happy running.

Thank you UnfitNoMore - will try two more consolidation weeks with gently pushing myself then move on to the C25K+ podcasts I think.
