I’m due to do w2r3 tonight (I’ve been doing one day on, one day off) but having struggled the past couple of days with sore shin/knee I’ve decided to rest them one more night. My husband has just sent me a message saying he has “completed his research” and bought me a new pair of running shoes (he got me to show him how I run and everything). This is a big deal as he doesn’t buy gifts 😂
He’s obviously quite keen for me to catch the bug as he’s primarily into cycling but does run for convenience at times. I’ve always scoffed but here I am, running my demons out the door and feeling very proud of completing five runs so far.
My biggest hope right now is that my leg is sore because I’m a newb and not because I run like phoebe buffet.

Well done ! Great results and new trainers too...how lovely. Mine had dinner on the table when I got home from a run...they need to keep this up ! 😂 Do you stretch a lot before and after each run plus try to land lightly when you run as that may help you rather than landing heavily especially if you run outside. Good luck on the next run and have to show us your new shoes 👟🏃♀️
Welcome. Aches are normal with a new exercise... they do get better! Great start to the plan... hope you feel like you’re running on the clouds in those new shoes! Enjoy your journey.
