I am waiting to see rheumatology for a diagnosis but the above is looking likely (potentially more likely to be myositis) this was the kick I needed to exercise and lose weight and hope it would help. I'm finally.on week 9 and covering just under 3k in 30 minutes, so slow but a huge improvement (I remember crying when I ran 3 minutes non stop I was so proud haha) just wondered if anyone else out there had these conditions and are attempting this programme and how you are finding it.

I've missed a few days when I should run due to pain but have tried to push myself even for 10 minutes for my kids.

I totally feel for you, make sure your Rheumatology consultant knows you're working on the c25k, they along with physio's will be able to point you in the right direction to help with stretches etc. My daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis at age 7, just a couple of weeks after she'd started y3, unfortunately everyone thought it was an allergy/virus etc at our gp's that it took her collapsing unable to walk, see and struggle breathing that they rushed her to the hospital. within a few hours she had been diagnosed and was receiving treatment, months in hospital and nearly a year later she was back in school full time. She's now 11, sitting her SAT's and not only running around but started taekwondo in January, still on methotrexate weekly but the docs are looking at stopping it next year :-) They can do so much to help now but the one thing that our consultant said helped our daughter is to exercise regularly but also rest when needed, she was so active before the disease hit gymnastics, swimming, ballet, bike etc so she refused to let it beat her. A positive attitude is the key along with following doctors advice. Let us know how you get on and don't worry about the days when you can't run, take it slow and steady when you can. You are the only one who can decide whether you're on a good day or bad one.
