I do believe (and hope!) that I've got my pace pretty much sorted.
I found myself regularly checking that I could actually hold a conversation (with myself, which probably would have looked odd to anyone lurking in the woods and watching) and by the end of the 28 minutes felt ok - certainly taking it to 30mins holds no fear. So it seems that this week, and the next, will be about consolidation.
I'm not ready to push any harder, yet, as I'm paranoid about getting injured - I've tried to start running on numerous occasions over the past few years and ended up with injuries every time (cos I went at it like I was still a 20 year old!). So I'm placing a lot of trust that the C25K program will build up my running capability in a more measured way - and so far it's definitely worked!

Great job... and you’re right to keep the pace down. I was reading an article of a couple doing this together, written by the wife. She want slow and steady and he “did it like a guy” and ridiculed her pace... and yes, he went on the IC and she completed the plan. We are adding endurance, we add pace on shorter runs, and there’s none of them before consolidation of this plan. My run after graduation was a personally challenging 3k on a track, back in 30 year old spikes... and I ripped it up and felt great doing it... way way below my teenage pace, but very fast for me these days. You have the pace there for sure and you can have a lot of fun in a few more weeks. I think you’ve gone through this plan just perfectly... enjoy closing it out.
Well done ClimberKB , you’re def doing it right...it’s all down to finding your comfortable pace because it’s that that keeps you going & stops you from setting off like a whippet!!
