Gutted I completed week 4 run 3 on Saturday, felt a niggle in my ankle which has completely swollen since I got my trainers off, ice pack and rest for weekend, walking is difficult and stairs impossible. Don’t see point in GP as think they will just advise rest

Take the advice . Rest Rest Rest it will help . Think of a as essential medicine. Your body will repair itself, just give it the time to do it 😀👍🏼

Sorry about your swollen ankle 5K2couch (I think you should change your username) 😊hopefully you will recover soon, quite right not seeing your GP as the appointment could be so long that by the time you see him the swollen ankle will be long gone. 😊Just rest. 👍

My osteopath friend swears by alternate hot / cold shower on the ankle (30 seconds as hot as you can bear, 30 seconds freezing cold - for 5 mins) plus pineapple juice. Good luck on the recovery. Swimming will he’ll keep the fitness up
