Have faith in the programme and a little self belief. The programme takes you one step at a time from feels like the impossible to the possible. I'm on W8R2 and cannot get over how good I feel. Yup I'm very slow but I can run 28 mins non stop! My advice would be not to look ahead at what's to come, just take it one session at a time. The support and encouragement from the group is amazing too. Keep posting how you get on and good luck, the first step is the hardest but you CAN do this. :-)

Welcome. Slow and steady as you go, if you’re running then it’s never too slow. Good luck.

I’m not going to lie, you are not likely to enjoy tomorrow. And that is OK. The first week is the hardest. But there is a support network here and it is invaluable. We’re all here for the good days and the bad days. Keep updating us on your journey, the good, the band and the ugly any you will be supported and encouraged all the way through. Also when your trainer, tells you to run check your ideas of running at the door. It’s all about taking it super slow-a light jog. I had to repeat 2 runs in the first week and if you need to you can repeat any runs you can’t complete. You will have good runs and bad runs and some runs that suck but you complete them any way. It’s an emotional and an amazing journey and it’s not easy but you are always reminded that you have achieved something.

Welcome and keep us posted 😀

You will be grand and it’s only upwards from here, that’s the absolute truth of it. Get through tomorrow and you are laughing. Welcome to team C25k x

Keep it slow! The only running I had done before this was at school (back in the mists of time), where the only aim was to see how fast we could go.

Now you need to learn how slow you can go - there is no such thing as too slow!

Didn't know whether to post here or start a new?

Anyway, done my first run today, felt like my walking was faster than my jogging!! Went slowly to begin with but at times I tried to go faster without realising, couple of hours later and I'm aching! Anyway, loved it

Well done on completing w1r1! And I’m really glad you enjoyed it. You’re totally going to smash week 1! Aches are totally normal too and a reminder that you have achieved something great today. Happy running 😀

Good job 👍 you’ve done the tough bit - getting started 🏃‍♂️ wear those initial aches with pride! I wish you all the best with your running journey, welcome to the forum.
