Zero degrees

Ok so my usual Saturday run was aborted because of the rain. Felt like I had a cold brewing and not really got a decent jacket to wear so opted for this Morning instead. What a great decision that was, no seriously I had to scrap the ice off the car to drive to RB’s meeting point. Was zero degrees with ‘ risk of ice’ Flashing on the dashboard. Put some gloves on and off we went. The atmosphere was amazing, cold air blowing off the canal, slight frost in the ground, no one around, so serene and beautiful. I absolutely loved it. Went straight into a comfortable pace, breathing easy. We only did 2.2 miles today as RB still getting over her cold but after a week of no running I’m well chuffed although she is a bit deflated (unnecessarily but understandable). Feel like I can tackle anything and everything that may be thrown at me today. Anyone fancy an afternoon run, I just want to go again !! 😁

I was wishing I was running this morning... standing in a field in high vis for junior parkrun wasn’t exactly comfortable... of course I forgot to wear the right shoes and that the frozen dew would melt (what an idiot eh?) so my feet are defrosting at home.
