Week 1 finished

Well I completed wk 1 on fri, I did it at the gym on the treadmill as I had my personal training right after which coincidentally was leg day 😮 but I did it!

I had to start wk2r1 yesterday without a rest day as I’m really busy today and I’ve signed up to the big Santa 5k run in December to raise money for north London hospice because it’s very close to my heart. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer 16 months ago and she’s starting to go downhill now, she’s chosen to go to this hospice when the times comes.

I signed up to the 5k run to push my limits and set myself a hard challenge because I see how every day for my mother is now a challenge that she has no choice over. So I have about 7 wks to be able to jog 5k so I really have to push my limits now but at least I have something to push me through the hard bits.

Well done on starting. I am so sorry to hear about your mother, I can only imagine how stressful that is. My advice to you is stick with the program, that is the best way to get you to your event, if you are a bit short on distance on the day the adrenaline rush will see you through that. Your whole body will be feeling the stress of your situation right now so don’t push any further or harder than recommend and remember rest days are as important as training days. Take care of you Rfc x.

Stay strong, but more importantly at this stage, stay injury free! Sending luck, hugs and best wishes to you and your family 🤗
