Feeling apprehensive...

Week 1 finished and feeling a bit apprehensive about moving on to week 2 but surely it's not that much different to week 1 is it? Is it? Please say it isn't 😂 I have noticed that my shins are a bit sore after my runs - is this something other people experience or do I need some decent running shoes?

It’s not hugely different... I counted the runs down and as it was from less than 8 that really helped me psychologically... I found it easier if anything.

Great job on week one.

No need to be apprehensive, trust the programme, thousands have done it and it works!! Keep it slow and steady you'll be fine

If you can do week one, you can do week two, honest. If you’re like me you’ll curse the voice in your earphones every time they tell you to run again. But it is doable. The fear of the upcoming week is real, well it is for me. But on the plus side you will have fewer runs😀

In W1 you ran for 8 minutes in each workout.

In W2 you run for 9 minutes in each workout.

Trust the plan..........it works.

Aches and pains from running are usual for new runners and are caused primarily by the impact. To reduce those stresses slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.

All this information is in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
