Strained calf

Unfortunately I have pulled my calf, not too painful but still a little pain when walking. I haven’t ran since Tuesday, hubby had to come and rescue me before I did any further damage!

Reason for writing this post need some advice on best way forward now! I’m missing running so much but I’m also worried I’m going to lose interest!

TIA

Hi Kazzi, you’re doing the right thing resting your calf. You could do with using a foam roller. They’re pretty inexpensive - I think mine was under a tenner on Amazon. Definitely worth a go as they alleviate tension in the muscles.

And see if you can do some gentle stretches too, maybe some yoga?

Hope it feels better soon. 😀

Thank you, I will try a foam roller and I’m joining a gym so I’ll look into the yoga classes. 😊

Sadly you’re gonna have to rest it well and when you do come back take it easy for a few runs. Hope it’s not too long
