Returning after 7 weeks away

I started this plan back in July and completed week 4, run 2. I was feeling really good and positive about the following week's runs, but then I developed a nasty cold and a few other ailments, meaning I didn't run again until seven weeks' later - today.

I wasn't sure whether to go back to week one after the time I'd been away, but in the end decided to pick up where I left off in week four, and see how I got on. I'm really pleased that I completed week 4, run 3 this morning. It shows that the body has a good memory and, despite not running for 7 weeks, the work I put in for the 4 weeks prior to that clearly did me some good.

It just shows that you don't have to go back to square one even if you haven't run for a while!
