Ouch!

It was all going so well. I had just completed W7R2, including the suggested 60 second sprint at the end, when I suddenly felt my hamstring muscle go - ouch! That was 5 days ago & it’s still sore/aching so I guess it’ll be another few days before I can get out & start running again. Feeling a bit dispondant as it was all going so well :(

It happens to most runners at some point and is all part of the learning process and becoming familiar with your body.

Rest up and come back nice and gently.

Thanks for that, Iannoda. Any suggestions re what I can do to help speed up the healing process? Guess I hadn’t realised just what an important part of my life running has become.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I had the same around week 7. Very frustrating but after a couple of weeks rest it settled down and now I am back to the programme and nearly finished.

Patience helps - you’ll get there!!

Thanks for the encouragement. It’s almost a week since my injury & I’m itching to get running again but I’ll resist the temptation at least for a few more days yet. Keep up the good work!
