Returning ..again..after 3 weeks..with bad back

So..I got to week 8 a lifetime ago..then my longstanding back problem flared up..had a rest and then started again, going back a couple of weeks. After 3 flare ups I did start to worry that I may be doing more harm than good. Went to Doc's, was told not to run, ever. Felt better, started again, back hurting again. Back to Doc..different G.P, advised don't run when back is playing up but maybe no need to give up completely. 🌞. Awaiting MRI results..Doc says that obviously after more than 20 years of a mechanical back problem it's likely that it is deteriorating and that being a 57 year old female it' likely menopause has an affect on joints☹️ exacerbating existing problems..blah blah, meehh...

So this morning..worried I'm going to lose all the fitness I have built up I decided to go back to the early run walk weeks..as I reason this is less constant stress on vertebrae and discs..and will see where we go from here..

Will get MRI results next week..
