W4R2 Some progress I think

Hi all, today is the first day I didn’t put nearly grumpy face on my app and selected instead the indifferent face after my run. It’s the first time I’ve actually felt that my breathing was more under control and apart from the building stamina thing I do now suspect there was an element of panic for me in the early runs creating even more of a ragged breathing effect. I’ve still a long way to go but am amazed that I’m actually halfway through the programme already, in my mind I’d convinced myself it was 12 weeks not 9! Still a lot of work to be done but if I can manage week 5s runs next week I think it will give me the confidence that I’m going to be able to do this. Thanks for everyone’s advice and encouragement it’s really helped :)

Great job. I think you’re right... we breathe all day without thinking about it... we start running, become aware of our breath, overthink it, it gets worse and then we panic! When I don’t give breathing a thought I run better.

You can do week 5... very good run today sets you up nicely.

Well done. That’s really positive and reassuring for me who has just completed wk4 run1. It was the last 5 mins that was hard - I developed a stitch early on! I kept running though, but not had a stitch before.

Keep going you’re doing really well!!
