Sore ankles

Hi

So just finished week 4. I am finding with each run my ankles are more stiff and sore at start of run. It does ease up a bit as I get going. Should I rest up and have a break or power through? Trainers are a good make and relatively new. Any help pls???

Are your trainers actually running shoes?.......... fashion trainers, regardless of price, are not running shoes.

Were they fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop?

This may well be just new runner's aches, which can often be raised by slowing down.

Can't afford real running shoes. They are the same I have used in gym and classes before. I'll try the slowing down thing and push through for now I think. Thank you for responding!!!

Running shoes are cheaper than a physio.

Slow down... land lightly and exercise for those ankles;
