Some info for new beginners

Saw this on my FB feed and thought it might be useful for any new starters...the article is " Body confidence for beginner runners"

Pretty sure most of us had some confidence issues when we started, it is nice to know you are not the only one and it really isn't as bad as you may think ..

Thanks for the link and I really enjoyed the article.

I was really self- conscious of people around, what I looked like , was my leggings too clingy and “did I look silly”.

Thus, I went out with moral support in the form of my four legged friend and OH. Now I go out alone and don’t think of how I look or what others may think or not. Yet, I’m aware this may remain a challenge for some people and it may hinder them from engaging in this form of public exercise. I’m by no means an exhibitionist, I’m rather reserved but I’ve taken the step to go running outdoors like thousands of others. I am learning to adapt being outdoors running not on the main roads as yet but I love running in my local park.

Today, I’m a bit more confident and positive as a learner runner🙂. Also, surprisingly enjoying the physical and mental results running is having on me in such a relatively short space of time.
